Hello, and welcome! My name is Luz Andrea Sanchez, and I am so happy you are considering Lucecitas Family Child Care Home for your child.
I am an early childhood educator with over 10 years of experience working with infants, toddlers and young children. I was born and raised in Colombia and moved to California at 17. My journey in early childhood education began as a nanny and led me to earn my A.A. in Child Development from De Anza College.
My teaching approach draws on emergent curriculum and play-based learning while respecting each child's individual interests and development.
Music and culture are important parts of the program. As a singer with experience in Colombian folkloric groups, Luz Andrea loves incorporating Spanish, singing, music and movement into daily activities.
She also served as a tutor in a cohort program supporting other child care providers as they worked toward professional certificates and permits.
